STAND UP PADDLE

Originally the Polynesians were already standing on very large planks and propelling themselves with the help of a paddle. The goal: to explore and trade in the lagoons of their magical archipelagos. In 2005, the renowned Hawaiian Waterman, Laird Hamilton, brought the SUP up to date with a more modern and « radical » touch. He surfs today with his big board and paddle, pushing ever further the limits in confronting bigger and more powerful waves. The SUP is also inclined to other forms of expression. For 2 or 3 years now SUP races are multiplying here and there with an investment in urban areas. But the SUP’s favorite playground is still the ocean.

Come and discover this new fun and accessible activity. After a small initiation, go for a paddle tour with a guide. Thanks to the standing position, you will enjoy an exceptional view both on the landscape and the seabed. Silently navigating in very little water, the stand up allows to approach the banks or rocks and observe the different bird species without disrupting the environment.
In any case, you will discover a part of the Bigouden Littoral or the Pont l’Abbé river only accessible by Stand-up. Your guide will share his passion for the marine environment, with it’s diverse fauna and flora.
